Founded in 1967, Texel launched its manufacturing activities in Canada by producing blankets for beds. Then two years later, the company extended its activities into the manufacturing of felts, notably for the footwear industry, and quickly acquired a large market share in this sector. In 1975, Texel became the first Canadian manufacturer of geotextile. Today, Texel serves various industries and markets with high-quality needlepunched nonwovens.
